The School Day
Sacred Heart is open for 32.5 hours per week.
The Register is taken at 8.45 and the close of day is 3.15pm. The gate is opened at 8.30am and 3.10pm. There is a 15 minute morning break and a 1 hour lunchbreak daily.

Our Reception Class use an app called Tapestry.
This piece of software allows our staff in our EYFS classroom to communicate key learning moments with you about your child. You can comment and upload photos and videos. All of this helps build the learning journey of children in the Foundation Stage. Further information about Tapestry can be found here.
Class Dojo
Class Dojo is an app that can be downloaded to phones that we use as part of our behaviour system.
During the day, children are awarded points for different skills and learning attributes that they show. Additionally, class teachers are able to contact the whole class with key reminders and share learning to increase discussions about learning at home.
Parents can comment on posts as well as being able to message class teachers on a one to one basis. The Deputy Head updates the whole school board weekly with key events to be aware of and can be contacted by all parents on this platform. No-one can access this platform for our school without a unique code. For more details, please see your child’s class teacher.
