It is important to us that you and your child feels happy, confident and safe when you join our school family at the Sacred Heart.
With this in mind, we have developed a robust induction programme for our new Early Years Foundation Stage children. It is designed to ensure that both children and parents are familiar with the school and the staff before you begin your journey. Making certain that when your child joins our school family they are able to settle quickly and feel happy in their new environment.
Details of our Induction Programme
During the summer term there are various stages to the induction process that take place.
- Parents are invited to attend an induction meeting at school to meet the staff.
- Children attend transition sessions. The dates are communicated with you after you accept your child’s place at the Sacred Heart.
- We will request that you complete a form prior to the induction meeting. This will provide us with information that will assist the staff in getting to know your child.
- Details of what the beginning of the school year will look like for you child will be shared at the open evening for parents.
